What this website does not do
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and containsno tracking pixels or advertising scripts. Nothing is stored on your device, and no profile is built about your visit.
The typefaces are served from this website’s own server. No request is made to Google Fonts or any other third party when a page loads.
Server logs
This website is hosted by Netlify, which records standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser) as part of delivering the site. This is technically necessary and serves to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
These logs are kept for 1 year before deletion.
Contact form
When you send the form, the details you enter (name, email address, and anything you write, plus the optional date and number of guests) are transmitted to us byWeb3Forms, which forwards them to our email inbox. We use your details solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent), which you give with the checkbox, and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a reservation.
Enquiries are kept in our inbox for 1 year before deletion.
Map
The map on the contact page is provided byOpenStreetMap. It loads only when you scroll it into view; at that point your IP address becomes visible to OpenStreetMap. We deliberately chose OpenStreetMap over Google Maps because it collects considerably less data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to object. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@tavernaakrogiali.gr to exercise any of these rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
